Head of Engineering Studies

We are seeking to appoint an experienced academic leader who will be key member of the college management team and will play a significant role in shaping the Engineering Faculty of the college.

The London College of Engineering and Management (LCEM) is a newly established institution in London, funded and managed by private sector. The management team and its associations comprise two engineering colleges and one centre for professional studies in Nepal, which have been running as established institutions for several years. The aim of this new establishment is to provide a platform for studying Management and Engineering courses in London and abroad. The focus of the college activities is to have an integrated approach to learning, research and enterprise with business and industry, both in Management and Engineering sectors.

We are currently undertaking some professional courses under Management Studies from September ’07 and are aiming to start academic courses (including Masters Level) in forthcoming session under the leadership of the Head of Management Studies.

The Engineering Studies has been planned to comprise academic courses (including Masters Level) along with numbers of short courses. In addition, certification schemes of UK professional accredited bodies are to be run concurrently, initially in two countries and later in several countries under the engineering faculty. The head of Engineering Studies will lead these academic activities. In addition, you will be supporting the principal and the Head of Management Studies for managing the college activities.

Application for the post are expected from experienced academicians who are self driven, enthusiastic and capable to design, coordinate, establish and run university / professional body affiliated courses in engineering field and lead the faculty of Engineering Studies. Long-term involvement being a part of management team can be considered if appropriate.
