When are the intakes for the courses?

Most of the courses have four intakes in a year. January-March-July-September. However it may differ from course to course therefore you are advised to contact us for the course you are intending to pursue. Intensive Practical Accountancy Training courses are run through out the year.

What are the procedures to apply for visa for overseas students?

You need to follow the following simple procedures:


1. Choose the course you intend to study and complete the application form and return to us along with non refundable application fee £100.


2. Upon receipt of your application form, we will review it and if you are eligible to enroll for the course you intend to, we will then send you an offer letter. An offer letter is the confirmation of your place at the college provided you pay at least 50% of the total course fees. An offer letter tells you about the total cost of the fees, commencement and completion date of the course, etc.


3. Upon receipts of your course fees as above, we will issue an enrollment letter, an accommodation letter provided you have paid for accommodation and a visa letter addressing to the British High commission/Visa Counselor office located in your country of residence. Please be advised that we cannot issue enrollment letter and Visa letter unless the fees mentioned in the offer letter are paid in full.


4. In order to apply for your student visa, you need to duely fill in the visa application form. Therefore, you need to contact your nearest British High commission/Visa Counselor office along with the documents we have issued for you.

I am an overseas student and I don’t know how to credit the tuition fees in your account.
How can I do so?


When you receive an offer letter, you will have to contact your local government authority for visa application procedure. This process may differ from one country to another. However, it’s not difficult though. Once you get the approval, you can pay the fee by making bank transfer directly into the college’s account or can draw a demand draft cheque issued in favor of the college. Alternatively, your friends or relative can pay your fees at college personally on your behalf.

Is an English Test essential?

Well it depends on the course you intend to pursue. Although English Language test is not compulsory but applicants must demonstrate their competency in English. Students with low level of competency in Engish will have to take additional English Language classes which is free of cost at LCEM for enrolled students only.

What are the differences between a part-time and full-time course?

Full-time course comprises at least 15 hours of tuition per week. Part-time courses are those less than 15 hours of tuition As per Home Office rules and regulation, foreign students who need to apply for visa, are not allowed to take part-time courses, therefore they must apply for full-time courses only.

Are exam fees included in the total course fees?

No. Exam fees and registration fees with the professional body (e.g. ACCA, IMIS, ABE) will have to be paid separately. Please note that if you are intending to pursue professional courses such as ACCA you need to register with the ACCA prior to exams.

What happens if I want to cancel my course upon arrival in the UK?

What is the definition of home student?

This term has been widely used for the fees purpose. A home student is anyone who is either UK or EU Passport holder who wishes to study.

Am I allowed to use study room at the college ?

Yes, you can do so. You can access the college library for this purpose. We actually encourage students to do so. Students can use computer and study room at any time during college opening hours for study purpose.

How difficult is it to open a bank account?

Banks are a bit strict in this matter. However, they are not strict for any good reason. Therefore, you need to satisfy the purpose of opening a Bank account as well as you need to supply proof of address, a letter from the college showing you are a student, your intended length of study is more than a year and you have a visa for more than a year, etc. The college will help you regarding this matter by providin

Does the College have own transportation or the student will have to manage?

The college doesn’t have a policy to provide transportation facility however students are entitled to get 30% discount on London Transport. To get this discount, students are required to fill the London Transportation discount application form. This facility is available only for the full time student. The college will assist you in this matter by proving necessary documents after enrollment.
